Snook fishing is nothing short of incredible

Snook fishing in the Palm Harbor, Clearwater, Dunedin area is nothing short of incredible. The time of the year and water temperature will tells us where to look and what tactic to use to catch this amazing fish.

We have great Snook fishing year around. During the winter months the Snook stack up in the creeks and can be found in brackish water. We locate the linesliders by finding moving water and structure in the creeks. It takes some looking and a lot of experience but when you find them you will catch A LOT of them! Once March and April rolls around the Snook move out of the back country creeks and into the mouths of the creeks and the spoil islands as they stage before they go to the beach and the passes to spawn. This is a great time to sight fish the Snook in clear skinny water. There are many options to catch these fish. Snook fly fishing in Clearwater, FL is a favorite of ours, but we also use artificial lures with spin tackle, and we also use live bait. It doesn’t really matter what tactic you want to catch one with, as soon as you hear that unmistakable Snook “Pop” your bait on the surface you will be in fishing heaven!

Depending on the weather pattern or the situation with bait we will trailer our flats boat or bay boat to whatever part of Palm Harbor, Clearwater, or Dunedin that we need to in order to put you on the Snook.

And if you are a night owl and want some fast and furious action or want to go after MONSTER Snook with heavy spinning tackle ask about our night trips. We do night trips during the months of May, June, and July for Snook and take anglers that want to catch them on bait, artificial, or fly fish for them. They are nocturnal feeders, and fishing at night is very quiet, that is why it’s the best time to catch a monster or put up big numbers like 60-70 Snook in a night!
